Who We Are

Verdant Scapes was started by two best friends during their senior year in high school who had a huge passion for animals of all kinds and creating their habitats, we found that it gave us a feeling of peace and served as our happy places. We both have been caring for various species of fish and reptiles since we figured out we could own pets as kids and the hobby snowballed from there.

 At first we simply wanted to do one on one consultations with people who were interested in owning an aquarium or terrarium, however after some time passed we decided to venture out into the world of online shopping and see where it would take us.

Why We Do What We Do:

At Verdant Scapes, we believe nature tells some of the greatest stories. What began as a passion for reptiles, amphibians, fish, and the natural world evolved into a love for creating miniature landscapes that capture its beauty.

Each terrarium is designed as a living piece of art, blending natural elements, creativity, and imagination into a display that brings a small piece of nature into your home.

Verdant Scapes is committed to selling affordable  products that are made with natural, quality materials. We seek to change the game in the scaping hobby by serving as a brand who displays stories through the art of nature in ways never seen before.

Founder's Message:

To me, this hobby isn’t just a hobby. Yeah, I know that’s a typical thing to say, but for me, it’s the truth.

I started catching lizards with my dad when I was just a 5-year-old boy in Pompano Beach, Florida. I was hooked from the start. Before long, I was idolizing Steve Irwin and became fascinated with reptiles, fish, and the incredible environments they called home.

In middle school, I met my best friend, someone just as obsessed with the hobby as I was (great for us, not so great for our wallets). By high school, I had discovered the creative side of aquascaping and terrascaping, transforming natural materials into miniature worlds that told a story.

What started as a love for animals eventually became a passion for creating those worlds themselves. During my senior year of high school, that passion became the foundation for Verdant Scapes.

At 19, that idea became a reality, and one I couldn’t be more honored to bring to life.
