🌲 Verdant Scapes Update 1.0: Establishing the Foundation and The Year in Review (A Look Back & A Look Forward)

Welcome, Scapers! We’re thrilled to kick off a new tradition here at Verdant Scapes Co. Moving forward, we'll be using this "Patch Notes" format to give you a transparent, regular look at what’s new, what’s changing, and what’s coming next to our corner of the internet. For our first update, we're celebrating the nearly one-year journey!

⚙️ Engine Upgrades (Site & Operations QoL)

We’re always working on the backend to improve your experience and ensure our scapes arrive perfectly.

• Fixed: Resolved initial inconsistencies in our inventory system affecting our products related to specialty wood and stone imports, ensuring our Terrarium Stock counts are now near 100% accurate.

• Improved: Optimized the Custom Commissions intake form based on user feedback to make the specification process clearer, resulting in faster quoting times.

• Added: Rolled out a new Shipping diversity option for our t-shirts to give a more reasonable shipping time and method.

🌱 New Content Added (Major Milestones Since Launch)

Over the past year, we have introduced some major new features that form the bedrock of Verdant Scapes Co.

• Custom Commissions Launched: We launched our full-service design offering, allowing us to bring your most ambitious aquascape and vivarium concepts to life. These specialized projects remain a core feature of the brand.

• Apparel Line Introduction: We successfully launched our initial line of Verdant Scapes Co. branded apparel, allowing you to represent your passion for living art outside of your home.

• Expanded Terrarium/Moss Wall Range: We significantly grew our offering in the non-aquatic space, providing smaller-scale, low-maintenance options like our popular Classic Framed Moss Walls.

• Value Tier Scapes Established: We created the Value, Moderate, and Premium tiers for our pre-made scapes to ensure that beautiful, high-quality habitats are accessible to scapers at various budget levels.

🐛 Known Issues / Under Development

We are currently working hard on resolving a few known issues to enhance the platform for the new year.

• Photo Quality: We recognize some older product photos do not meet our current quality standards; we are planning a major visual overhaul for product listings in the new year.

• Increase and Complete Rework of Our Social Media Platforms: We have noticed that our social media activity has been rather low or inconsistent; we are planning on fixing this and plan to find a more sustainable solution moving forward.
